Shanxi Xinzhou Ancient City

Xinzhou Ancient City, located in Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, is also known as “Xiurong Ancient City” and has a history of over 1,800 years. The city is home to numerous temples and ancient buildings, including Xiurong Academy, Yishan Ancestral Hall, Guandi Temple, Caishen Temple, and Taishan Temple, all of which are valuable cultural heritage sites of Xinzhou. To protect and preserve these precious historical and cultural resources, enhance the city’s cultural appeal, and promote the development of tourism in Xinzhou, the Xinzhou City government launched an ancient city protection, renovation, and lighting project.
