The Urumqi “Guangcai Plan” Lighting Project

Urumqi’s lighting project, centered on the implementation of the “Guangcai Plan,” builds upon the 2018 nightscape illumination of nine key areas. This project further enhances the nightscape of vibrant zones such as Zhongshan Road, Hongqi Road, Xida Bridge, Youhao South Road, and Nanhu Carrefour, which are popular with both residents and tourists. By utilizing the varied heights and facades of the surrounding tall buildings, the project integrates light technology and cultural projection imaging to create a 360-degree multimedia light show. The EXC-ECCP2.0 cloud control platform provided by EXC serves as the city’s intelligent control system, integrating control and management of seven types of equipment, including media facade lighting, intelligent electrical control, beam lights, laser lights, projectors, sound systems, and video surveillance. This system creates a new urban nightscape that combines “light, film, and sound,” showcasing Urumqi as a “great place in Xinjiang” with a shining new image.
